Non-attachment or letting go of expectations is crucial to the practice of mindfulness. The mind often holds on to certain thoughts, feelings, and situations, whether pleasant or unpleasant, but mindfulness teaches us to observe our experiences without judgment and let them be. We can become experts on our attachments and learn about their consequences.

Another great concept in mindfulness is ‘The Beginner’s Mind’. The richness of life lies in the present moment, but our preconceived notions and beliefs often prevent us from seeing things as they really are. Cultivating a beginner’s mind, which is open to new possibilities, allows us to fully appreciate the uniqueness of each moment. This mindset is particularly important during meditation, so the next time you meditate, imagine it’s your first time and enjoy it with the enthusiasm of a beginner.
